Our flight from Houston arrived too late in Frankfurt to get on our connection to Bucharest. We waited in line for 2.5 hours to get a flight booked from Frankfurt to Vienna to Bucharest, to get to our location in time to present that next morning!
It's so nice to get fresh produce, meats and cheeses at the local farmer's market
I was asked to teach the girls how to make tacos and to bring the taco seasoning mix from the US.
Unfortunately, we didn't get enough sunlight to produce the image with the right contrast, but this was the attempt!
Rita, who came with us, asked the girls to choose what they wanted to paint on their t-shirts. Some used images, some chose names to paint.
While Rita and I worked on teaching crafts, Michael went and helped with picking up donations from the food bank.
This year, I was asked to provide 1-on-1 tutoring for a specific person as she wanted to become a tailor. She picked up hand sewing and machine sewing quickly. Her "capstone" project was to sew an apron. We took one of the aprons from the kitchen to use as a pattern template, then sewed the pieces together and then hemmed it.
Saw the umbrellas in an alley way from the major street and decided to get a quick snapshot.
The second largest government building to the Pentagon.
Monica gifted us with a stay in Brasov and it was a very relaxing stay there!
One of the churches in Union Plaza ("Piata Unirii"). It just rained and the lights shining from the buildings onto the puddles of water was magical!
This is the church that records covers of Contemporary Christian music in English and translates lyrics into Romanian.
