Many Ukrainian refugees were temporarily housed at Open Door facilities. Once they moved out, we needed to disassemble the bunkbeds for incoming survivors who completed the 18-month program and into transition housing.

This was a survivor who was scared to death to testify and provide her deposition in front of her trafficker. She was hunched over, physically sick of the thought of having to face him. Unfortunately, I cannot show the aftermath where she is joyful, relieved and felt like she conquered a fear, out of maintaining her privacy and her security.
